Five-dollar entry to an amazing showcase with us, Illy, Philly Moves, M.O. Littles, Molly Thomason and host Rush Zilla! Roll through! BANG!

SWEET MOTHER OF CRAP! One of the GREATEST EVENTS IN THE HISTORY OF HUMANITY (sort of) is set to POP THE FUCK OFF (definitely not just sort of) on the night of Thursday, January 30th, as Ted and I make our way to the icy wilds of Kitchener-Waterloo to stagger the unsuspecting fans at the Starlight Social Club with a triumphant performance in support of Shad and Brother Ali! THAT’S RIGHT! My two biggest influences, the two very finest rappers working—and I get to open for them BOTH! Because they ASKED me to! ME! SPECIFICALLY! And my homie Egyptian Prescription too—he’s gonna tear it down in Kingston the previous night! HOLY SHIT!

Shad returns to Waterloo on Thursday January 30th at the Starlight, with special guest Brother Ali and our homie The Mighty Rhino.

Over the years Rancho has played host to many a great hip-hop show and the tradition continues!

Just added new openers: Tarek Funk (aka Mother Tareka) is a multi-talented MC, Saxophonist & flute player (and then some), with a social conscience that shines through his flows. As the frontman MC of Unidentified Funky Objects as well as his MC work with Peak Soil, Tarek has established himself as a heavily inspired individual who’s drive to create & his support for fellow artists is second to none.

Then we have Trash Mobb! These guys have been hard at work fine tuning their craft and expanding their repertoire. Last time I saw them I was thoroughly impressed as was the Rancho crowd. The band has been recording so catch them now before their debut drops.

Then we have the Mighty Rhino! The $5 Rap show has brought so many great acts through the Ranch. Rhino is one of the best! We are thrilled to have him back to play this show. Whether he is rapping with blinding speed or singing soulful jams Rhino is a beast. Not to be missed.

And making their Rancho debut Test Their Logik! Two incredibly talented long time members of the rap community who briefly had their project abruptly stopped when they were forced to stop associating with each other for 5 months after being charged during the G20. Now with those charges dropped and their names cleared Test Their Logik have been taking Canada by storm. Rancho is next!
